Job Details:
Land and Social Graduate Trainee
The Land and Social Graduate Trainee at EACOP will be instrumental in supporting the organization's initiatives related to Land and Social performance and community engagement and development. This position offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about responsible project development, inclusive and social impact.
Community Engagement:
- Work closely with community leaders and members to understand their perspectives, concerns, and expectations.
- Assist in organizing community meetings and events to foster open communication and address community needs.
Resettlement Planning:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of resettlement plans, ensuring they align with regulatory standards and community well-being.
- Assist in the identification and documentation of affected households and individuals.
Social Impact Assessment:
- Participate in the assessment of the social impacts of the project on local communities.
- Collaborate with external consultants and internal teams to gather data and insights for impact assessments.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of land acquisition, community engagements, and resettlement activities.
- Prepare reports summarizing key findings, challenges, and progress in land and social aspects of the project.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Collaborate with government agencies,PAPS, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and other stakeholders involved in land and social aspects.
- Facilitate coordination meetings and information sharing.
Compliance Monitoring:
- Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with social and environmental standards.
- Contribute to the development of strategies to address non-compliance issues
- Support the provision of response to community grievances, ensuring that concerns are properly documented and addressed in a timely manner.
- Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of social performance indicators, including livelihood restoration and community development programs.
- Promote awareness and understanding of EACOP’s land and social commitments within communities and among local leaders.
- Support field teams in conducting socio-economic surveys and data collection for ongoing monitoring efforts.
